Coronado, Things To Do
Coronado, California is a beautiful seaside
community full of fun and sun. Coronado has an abundance of
activities to offer it's homeowners and guests. Take advantage
of the following ideas.

The Visitor Center located in the Museum of History and Art
building at 1100 Orange Avenue, is the first place to stop for
information on things to do in Coronado. They provide maps,
discount tickets, brochures, directions, and other helpful

- The Museum of History and Art is located next to the
Visitor Center and is the place to learn about Coronado's
unique and interesting history.
- Coronado offers six tours throughout the week. Each one
focuses on different aspects of Coronado. The Visitor Center
can provide times, tickets prices and information about each.
- Visit the oceanfront Hotel Del Coronado, the majestic
emblem of Coronado. The Hotel Del Coronado instantly turned
Coronado, Ca into a beach resort destination when it opened
on February 19, 1888. The Hotel Del Coronado has become a
living legend with it's rich history, historical landmark
designation, visits by thousands of celebrities and dignitaries
and the legend of "the ghost".
- Dine and shop on Orange Avenue, Coronado´s main street
and at the Ferry Landing Marketplace beside the San Diego
Bay. Coronado offers more than 80 cafes and restaurants with
seafood, American fare and ethnic cuisine. Outdoor dining is
available to enjoy Coronado´s weather. The local shops
provide a wonderful atmosphere to pick up that unique gift and
provide everyday staples.
- Enjoy a play at one of two theaters. Coronado has its own
community theater group which performs at the Coronado
Playhouse at the Coronado Community Center. Lamb´s
Players Theater is located on Orange Avenue
and is the city´s professional theater group.
- The Community Center and Aquatic Center is located at
1845 Strand Way. The facilities include weight lifting, fitness
classes, basketball and volleyball courts, rock climbing wall

- Coronado beaches receive top ratings by the Travel
Channel in the following categories, Americas Best Beaches
and Best U.S. Beaches for Families. The city's Silver Strand,
South, Central , North and Dog Beach are ideal for whatever
water related activity you can think of.
- Fifteen miles of dedicated paths hug the coastline and
allow biking, skating, jogging and walking. The dedicated
paths provide a great way to exercise and see some of
Coronado's spectacular scenery.
- Enjoy a round of golf at the Coronado Municipal Golf
Course. The 72-par, 130 acre golf course offers scenic views
of San Diego Bay, Glorietta Bay and San Diego skyline.Call

- Take a fun trip to downtown San Diego on the Ferry, bikes
are allowed. The Ferry leaves Coronado
every hour on the half hour.
